George Porter looks set to leave the club, after he rejected a new contract. Porter was signed by Russell Slade from non-league side Cray Wanderers in May 2010. At the beginning of his first season with Orient, Porter made his debut as a substitute against Charlton. However, the youngster could not break into the first team, instead he continued his development on loan at Lewes and later Hastings United. Last term, was a breakthrough season for the 19 year-old winger, as he made 38 appearances, scoring two goals. Despite Porter’s decision to reject the contract offer, Orient may receive compensation as the player is under the age of 23.
