Leyton Orient have signed Blair Turgott on a one-year deal. The 21 year-old winger began his career with West Ham United and he previously played under Ian Hendon during his time with the Hammers’ development side.

Blair Turgott joined West Ham aged just 8.
His first taste of senior football came during a short loan spell with Bradford City in 2012/13. He made his senior debut in the Bantams’ draw against Brentford in the FA Cup. He went on to make another ten appearances before returning to the Hammers in March 2013.
In November 2013 Turgott joined Colchester United. It was during his time with the U’s that he scored his first senior goal in a 4-0 victory over Stevenage. In total he made 4 appearances for the Essex side.
His only appearance for West Ham came in the 5-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup in January 2014. Turgott was a second-half substitute in that match.
In January 2014 Blair was loaned out again, this time joining Rotherham United on a one-month deal. However, he made just one appearance for the Millers before being recalled by his parent club.
Turgott spent the rest of the 2013/14 season on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge. He made five appearances for the Daggers.
West Ham released Turgott in February 2015. He signed for Coventry City and made three appearances, helping the Sky Blues’ survival bid by scoring the winning goal against Peterborough. However, he was released at the end of the last season.
Blair Turgott has also represented England from Under-16 level up to Under-19 level. He played for the Three Lions in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2011.
