The 33-year-old striker joined the O’s last summer from Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal. He scored on his debut on the opening day of the season against Chesterfield and he managed another seven goals in 24 more appearances.
However, he struggled for fitness throughout the campaign and he missed the run-in as Orient battled against relegation. His last appearance for the O’s came in the defeat against Doncaster in mid-April.
