Leyton Orient appear to have taken Peterborough United midfielder Jack Payne on trial during their Spanish Training camp.
There had been speculation earlier this week that the O’s were in talks with the Posh over a possible move for the transfer listed 23 year-old and those rumours were confirmed to be true by Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony.
Lots of questions regards JP & Leyton Orient. Nothing is agreed with Orient at present and they are one of a few clubs negotiating for him.

Payne’s move to E10 could be imminent (if not already agreed) as it has emerged that he is with Orient squad in Spain for their training camp. Boro tweeted a team sheet that included Payne in the Orient squad for tonight’s (15th July) friendly against Middlesborough.

The team sheet also reveals that three of the four trialists (Connor Essam, Alex Woodyard and Frazer Shaw) that played against Braintree on Friday night have also travelled with Ian Hendon’s side.
Following Romain Vincelot’s departure Hendon is clearly intent on adding to his options in central midfield and it would seem that Payne is the player that the O’s boss is looking for.
