Alex Cisak has been called up for international duty by Australia for their 2018 World Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh and Tajikistan.
Cisak will link up with the Socceroos after Orient’s fixture against Bristol Rovers. The qualifiers take place on the 3rd and the 8th of September and therefore he will miss Orient’s JPT tie against Luton Town as well as the league game against Exeter. Cisak will return to the O’s on the 9th September.
The 26 year-old has been capped by Australia’s Under-20 side 20 times but he is yet to play for the senior national team. He now has the opportunity to win his first cap.
The Socceroos are currently 61st in the FIFA World Rankings. In June Australia defeated Kyrgyzstan by two goals to one in their opening World Cup qualifiers.
