Orient Add Jean-Yves M’voto


Leyton Orient have signed 27 year-old centre-back Jean-Yves M’voto on a free transfer. The Frenchman joins the club on an initial two-month contract and he is set to go straight into the squad to face York City today.

Jean-Yves M’voto began his career at USM Carrières sur Seine academy before joining the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain.Paris Saint-Germain.

He left PSG in January 2008 without having made a senior appearance, moving to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee. He did not feature for Sunderladn either, he was instead loaned out to Southend United and Oldham Athlectic during his three year spell with the Black Cats.

In the summer of 2011 M’voto signed a permanent deal with Oldham. He made a further 93 appearances for the Latics, scoring six goals.

In July 2013 Barnsley signed Jean-Yves on a two year contract. He made 30 appearances in the Championship during his first season, but last term he managed just 16 games following the Tykes relegation to League One.

He was released at the end of last season and he had not been able to find a new club. He will wear the number 15 shirt.
