O’s Confirm Pre-Season Fixtures

Leyton Orient have announced their pre-season schedule ahead of the coming 2017/18 National League campaign.

The O’s will begin their preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Premier League Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday 12th July.

Orient will then face a number of teams on the road, starting with a trip to face Isthmian League Premier Division side Harlow Town on Saturday 15th July at 3pm.

Following that, the O’s will be hosted by Essex Senior League side Burnham Ramblers on Tuesday 18 July, 7:45pm kick-off.

Saturday 22nd July will see Orient face Isthmian League Division One outfit Greenwich Borough, who are of course currently managed by Gary Alexander and his assistant John Mackie. The match will be a 3:00pm kick-off at Badgers Sports Ground.

On Tuesday 25th July (7:45pm kick-off), AFC Hornchurch will host the O’s.

Orient’s final away game of pre-season will be against another Isthmian League Premier Division side, Billericay Town on 29th July (3:00pm kick-off).

The O’s will then return to Brisbane Road for their final pre-season fixture. Orient will host Arsenal Under-23s on 1st August at 7:45pm.

Orient’s pre-season schedule owes much to the work of Omer Riza, who organised fixtures before the takeover. Omer released a list of potential friendlies via his Twitter account that included matches against 2016/17 National League Champions Lincoln City, Dulwich Hamlet and Reading, however it would appear that those three games won’t be happening.
